Darkness Can't Touch Me
Darkness can’t touch me
Mind over matter; legs over sofa
God give me a task, something that’ll last
I crackle like a fire almost like a little child
No more unfinished poems, no more half-baked songs
God gave me a soul; I’m not embarrassed to be me
I see the birds fly upon the blue sky
I found my life’s task, let me tell you
I exist to make songs that’ll make you smile
Remember God, remember love
I exist to close the gap between the foreign and the land
I exist to bind men to the land of angels
I exist to bring you hope, another ship to take you home
To your soul, naked-whole
Darkness can’t touch me
Mind over matter; legs over sofa
God give me a task, something that’ll last
I crackle like a fire almost like a little child
No more unfinished poems, no more half-baked songs
God gave me a soul; I’m not embarrassed to be me
I see the birds fly upon the blue sky
I found my life’s task, let me tell you
Tell me why do you exist? What excites you the most?
It is you who you’re searching for
It can get lonely, take it from me
But your north star, that guidance is holy
Put away the fear, no one pities you
No one takes your part it’s reserved for you
Take my hand, we’re going home
To your soul, naked-whole
Darkness can’t touch me
Mind over matter; legs over sofa
God give me a task, something that’ll last
I crackle like a fire almost like a little child
No more unfinished poems, no more half-baked songs
God gave me a soul; I’m not embarrassed to be me
I see the birds fly upon the blue sky
I found my life’s task, let me tell you
